quilting to me is my "get away". there is something so satisfying about picking out fabrics, cutting them up, and then sewing them back together into your own creation. lately i have been quilting a lot. thankfully nora is still content to sit next to me and play while the others just do what they do to the buzz of my machine. (it has also helped to have great weather and an open window right above their favorite spot in the mud) the quilt pictured above was made from vintage sheet scraps at the very last minute for her first birthday.
